Thank you for your interest in booking a birthday party with the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn! 

Party Packages and Pricing
(the total number includes both children and adults)
 

Tuesday-Thursday

Up to 20 people $170
Up to 30 people $220
Up to 40 people $270

Current members of CMOL get a 10% discount

A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking and can be made over the phone

We do not hold dates without a deposit

If you need to cancel your party you can use your deposit towards another party, a new membership, or to renew your existing membership
 

Face Painting is available for an additional cost.

Up to 20 children - $50
Up to 30 children - $75
Up to 40 children - $100

Face painting takes place during your 1.5 hour party room rental time
The face painter will only paint the children on your guest list
Since this is a service, the member discount does not apply to face painting

Every party package includes:

The Party Room

The party room rental time is 1 ½ hours (please see below for specific times)

The room comfortably accommodates up to 40 people

The staff will set up the tables and chairs for you

In the room there is a refrigerator with freezer on top, microwave, and sink for your use

Your room time does include set-up and clean-up

You may not enter the party room before your party room start time for early set-up

You may decorate the room, however, the only place decorations can be taped is on the windows

You may bring in food or have food delivered, however, we ask that you DO NOT cook in the room or use open flame warmers

Food should be delivered near the start time of your party to ensure that your guests have plenty of time to eat

NO alcohol is allowed in the museum

You will have to bring your own supplies; table cloths, plates, napkins, utensils, knife to cut the cake

The front desk person may make announcements for your guests to make their way to the party room 

You are responsible for the security of your party gifts and belongings that are in the party room and museum

We suggest giving yourself 10 minutes for clean-up and to get everyone out of the party room

You will be charged an additional $75 for going over your scheduled end time

All left over food that you want to take home, supplies, and gifts must be taken out of the museum. Unfortunately, we do not have extra space to hold your items.

 

Admission

With the party package, your admission to play is good ALL DAY!
You must supply us with a guest list, first names only with last initial, to be given to the front desk and face painter (if applicable)
You must have 1 adult for every 6 children
Children must be supervised at all times

Tuesday-Thursday

9:30am-11:00am, 11:30am-1:00pm, 1:30pm-3:00pm, 3:30pm-5:00pm
 

Friday-Saturday

9:30am-11:00am, 11:30am-1:00pm, 1:30pm-3:00pm, 3:30pm-5:00pm
Friday late night ( 2nd & 4th Friday of the month) 5:30pm-7:00pm or 6:00pm-7:30p


Sunday
 
12:30pm-2:00pm
  2:30pm-4:00pm, an extra ½ hour can be added to this time only for an additional $75.00

 

Parking

Free parking is available on the 5th floor of the parking garage.  Please inform your guests.

The spots just outside of the museum are 30-minute parking and, unfortunately, are not for museum patrons per order of the property management company.


Private Rentals

Private rentals are available after or before business hours, please call for availability

The cost is $350 per hour for up to 100 guests

A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking and can be made over the phone
