Why Support the Children's Museum?

Samantha_at_museum.jpg

The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn is a place for families to learn, explore and soar together. It's a place for children to be creative, to role play, and to build.  It's a place for parents to be the teacher in their child's life.  It's a place for discovery, learning, and fun!

The Children's Museum is funded through admissions, birthday parties and field trips.  However, this funding will only account for around 65-70% of our annual operating budget. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to help keep our admission prices competitive with other children's museums and to provide quality, educational experiences for children.

Please consider supporting the museum in one of the following ways:

100_5346.JPGThe Children's Museum welcomed Brownie Troop 109 (pictured left) from Lockport as the first group to experience an overnight in the Children's Museum. The theme for the evening was camping where they learned to tie knots and basic first aid in the "Camp Take-A-Break" area! After the girls made and flew their kite, they were presented with an official "Children's Museum in Oak Lawn" patch.  The museum is currently working on programming around each exhibit to assist scouting units in earning their badges.
