Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT? IS THERE A FORMAL PROGRAM?

There is no formal program.  The doors open at 6:00PM.  The gaming tables will open before 7:00pm and will run for three hours.  The gaming is for entertainment purposes only. So if you've always been afraid to try blackjack or craps at a Casino, you can do it here with play money. 

WHERE DOES THE MONEY RAISED GO?

The funds raised at this event help support a variety of museum initiatives including our Museums For All program, Blue Star Program for military families, the Easter Egg Hunt for Children with Disabilities, art supplies for the artroom, new animals for the vet area, new costumes for the theater, and quarterly family respite nights, just to name a few of things that are supported through this fundraiser.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

​Your entry includes a buffet, open bar, and entertainment.  In addition, we'll have raffles and a silent auction, and probably a few surprises that we don't even know about!

CAN WE COME IN COSTUME?

Absolutely!  In fact, we encourage it!  You might even win a prize for best costume. This year's theme is May the 4th Be With You.

CAN WE BRING OUR CHILDREN?

This event is just for the grown-ups.

IS THERE A MEMBER DISCOUNT?

Yes!  If you purchased your membership at the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn you qualify for the $10 per ticket discount.  Plus, you can purchase additional tickets to pass that savings onto your friends.  Please note that in order to receive the discount, the museum member must be the ticket purchaser.​
