About Us
The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn is a place for families to learn, explore and soar together. It's a place for children to be creative, role play and build. It's a place for parents to be the teacher in their child's life. It's a place for discovery, learning and fun!
The Children's Museum is funded through admissions, birthday parties and field trips. However, this funding only accounts for approximately 65-70% of our annual operating budget. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to help keep our admission prices competitive with other children's museums, and to provide quality educational experiences for children. Please consider supporting CMOL in one of the following ways:
The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn is a stand alone 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We truly appreciate your support. |

Education StatementEvery program and every exhibit at the Children's Museum is created with the Illinois Common Core standards (formerly the Illinois Learning Standards) at their core. These are the same standards that the Illinois Board of Education requires local school districts to use when developing local curriculum. This enables the Children's Museum to be a true extension of classroom learning.
