We are so excited to invite you back to the museum, and in doing so have been planning
and organizing to make your visit as safe and fun as possible.

- Online ticket are now required for all guests, including members. Purchase your tickets now by clicking here.
- Face coverings are required for everyone over the age of 2.
- Our hours have been adjusted to allow for additional deep cleaning and sanitizing. You are welcome to enter any time during your reserved play time, but please note that the play sessions will end promptly at the scheduled time.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We, at the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn, are committed to reopening with the health and safety of our guests and staff at the forefront. We have implemented a few changes and policies that will help protect us all.
- Online tickets are required for all museum guests, including members (admission fees are waived as part of membership). This change helps us maintain appropriate occupancy levels.
- All discounts, passes, coupons are temporarily suspended. We will be able to accept these once we are back to operating at a higher capacity. We cannot currently accept CLIMB memberships from Dupage, Kohl or Wonderworks Children's Museums.
- Our change in hours allows us to properly clean between visits.
- All guest 2+ years of age will be required to wear a face covering. The museum team reserves the right to deny admission to the museum to anyone not properly wearing a face covering. If your child is physically unable to wear a face covering please give us a call, 708-423-6709 ext. 201.
- All guests will be required to fill out a attestation form confirming that they do not have any symptoms of COVID-19.
- Temperatures of all guests will be check before entering the museum. Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 degrees will be asked to come back to play when they are healthy.
- Additional hand sanitizing stations have been installed in the museum. Guests and staff are encouraged to sanitize often in addition to washing hands frequently.
- Social distancing is encouraged and some exhibits have a limited capacity of one family at a time
- Some exhibits have been changed to allow for deep cleaning and sanitizing (sand, costumes and plush items have been removed from exhibits).
- Additional bins have been placed around the museum for items that need cleaned. We encourage guests to place small items here when you are done using them. We will clean them before placing them back out in the exhibit.

WHAT WE ARE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE
- All staff members are required to take a daily health check before beginning their work day.
- All staff members are required to properly wear a mask while at work.
- We have installed a barrier at the front desk.
- We have installed additional hand sanitizing stations.
- The drinking fountain is currently closed.
- We have added signage limiting exhibit occupancy to one group at a time.
- We have added signage asking guests to take the stairs going up and the elevator coming down when possible.
- We ask that only one group enters the elevator at a time.
- We will be sanitizing high touch areas frequently throughout the day. This includes doors, handles, railings, buttons, bathrooms and frequently touched exhibit pieces.
- After each play session we will conduct a museum wide sanitizing.
How to Find Us
From the North, South or West
Take I-294 to 95th Street. Head East. After you pass 52nd Avenue, you'll go across the train tracks by the Metra train station. The next street is Museum Drive, turn right. |
From the East
Take 95th Street west to 52nd Avenue. Turn left onto 52nd Avenue. You'll want to carefully turn around so that you are heading back east on 95th Street. Once heading east on 95th Street, you'll go across the train tracks by the Metra train station. The next street is Museum Drive, turn right. |
