Play Coordinator (Part-time)

Essential functions

• Welcome guests to the museum. 

• Complete opening and closing procedure.

• Follow the daily cleaning schedule.

• Engage with guests/children as they explore the museum, which may include: communicating museum rules/programs, answering questions, and helping to make their experience a positive one.

• Regularly pick up exhibit pieces off the floor to ensure a safe play environment.

• Reset exhibits for the next child to play.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Availability for at least 3 days of the week, including 1 weekend day

• Previous experience in customer service or education

• Ability to bend and regularly pick up objects weighing up to 10 lbs

• Ability to work on their feet for long periods of time

Current 2026 pay and benefits offered:

• $15.50/hour

Play Coordinators spend a lot of time standing or walking while bending, carrying, and lifting to perform their job requirements of cleaning and playing.
