Our Memberships
There are many benefits in becoming a member, but the biggest of them all is the knowledge that you are supporting the educational work we do in support of learning. Your sustaining membership will help support the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn not just now, but in the future. While many of our membership benefits do revolve around families, you don't have to have children's museum age children to join and show your support as you can become a Legacy Member or even purchase a membership at another level for a family in need.
Legacy Membership - $250

The Legacy Membership is a wonderful way for you to show your philanthropic support of the museum and to be engaged in the work we do, helping us expand young minds in the development of critical thinking skills, social skills, conflict resolution, fine/gross motor skills, communication skills and cognitive skills. Your support will also allow us to continue funding our Museums For All initiative, removing the barrier for low-income families so that their children can benefit from the educational value of the museum.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I bought my membership at another Children's Museum but I really want to come to your Members-Only Event.
A: Unless otherwise noted, our Members-Only events are for our members who purchased their memberships at the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn.
Q: What exactly is CLIMB?
A: CLIMB was started with a discussion at a conference among the Executive Directors/CEO's of the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn, the Dupage Children's Museum and Kohl Children's Museum. Other museums were invited to join and the Discovery Center Museum, KidsWork and Wonder Works were the other Chicago area Children's Museum's that decided to join in the partnership. It's important to note that while these six museums are CLIMB partners, each museum is a separate nonprofit organization governed by their own Board of Directors. CLIMB was originally designed to open up free access to members of these museums to other children's museums as a membership benefit. Each museum is voluntarily in this initiative. The other benefit of this membership is when our museum closes down in September for a few days for our annual cleanup week, you have other museums you can visit while we refresh and rejuvenate our museum.
