Meet Lakia Martin! She has been part of our staff for nearly two months, and we are excited she is a member of our team.
As a play coordinator, Lakia helps reset exhibits, greet guests and manage Museum programs. She often reads to our guests for Story Time, and leads a hands-on activity that relates to the day’s books.
Lakia enjoys that the Museum keeps her on her toes and busy throughout the day. As an early childhood development major, she feels most rewarded when interacting with the children.
“This is a milestone job to my future dream career,” Lakia says.
