Kevin’s favorite part of volunteering for the Museum is the support he is able to provide Adam, the Museum’s Executive Director, and the Museum staff. Volunteering has taught him to grow through giving without receiving, and that, he says, is an irreplaceable reward of his position.
“[Being a Soaring Spirit Honoree is] extremely humbling,” Kevin explains. “There are so many that have contributed to the success of the museum that without their help and guidance, I could not have had any impact. This by far is the greatest acknowledgement I have ever received.”
Kevin also maintains quite an impressive résumé. He owns his own home inspection company, KGM -C.S.I. Complete Service Inspections Inc. and is also a site manager for Expert Roofing Inc. Prior to this, he was in the fitness industry for 24 years.
At home, Kevin’s wife of 11 years has recently retired. His son, Kyle, has graduated from Bradley University and will be attending Loyola University to pursue his Master’s degree. Kevin’s stepsons, Doug and Alex, both own their own companies, Real Records and Chicago Southland Homes, respectively.
“Without the support of my wife and family, I would not be in a position to receive the award,” Kevin says.
Kevin is one of three Soaring Spirit honorees that will be acknowledged at this year’s Volunteer Recognition Dinner on July 23 at 6:00 p.m. To RSVP to this event, please visit www.cmoaklawn.org!
