Kevin got his start with the Museum nine years ago when he volunteered for an event at the old location. His passion was immediately recognized and he was asked to sit on the Museum Board of Directors. From there, he grew to become the 2nd vice president of the executive board, and now president.
Kevin is excited to begin the new year as our new board president. “My sights are set on taking the Museum to the next level,” he explains, “connecting and creating new partnerships to provide a ‘win-win’ arena that will promote both growth for the Museum and its partners and allow our Board of Directors, staff, members and donors to grow with us.”
His personal goal for his new position is to provide the Museum’s Board of Directors with continuing education concerning the non-profit world, donor recognition and development. With this, the Board of Directors can provide the tools needed by our Executive Director, Adam Woodworth, to facilitate staff in providing the best experience possible for members and guests during every visit.
Big goals need great leaders, and Kevin has plenty of experience to help him fulfill the vision of growth. He owns his own home inspection company, KGM – C.S.I. and he is also a site manager for Expert Roofing Inc. Kevin sits on the Board of Directors for the Oak Lawn Chamber and has also been entrusted as the president of E-N-G (Entrepreneurial Networking Group) for 2015.
Kevin has also chaired the Museum’s annual Fall Fun Fest for many years and sits on several of the Museum’s committees. With all of this experience, Kevin is sure to continue to do big things for the Museum.
He also understands the significance of the Museum and the impact it has on local businesses and the community. “Our Museum, I personally feel, leaves a footprint unrivaled by anything else in our immediate area,” he says, “and beyond that, provides a hands-on learning experience for kids.”
Being a member of the CMOL family and helping to provide children with fun, hands-on learning experience, has given Kevin an irreplaceable sense of fulfillment. “It’s been one of the greatest experiences that has enabled personal growth for me,” he explains, “working with a dynamic group of people from all backgrounds to come together for a common goal.”
